Lacheis, The Grand Assassin of the Council of Light

An icy voice whispers, "Beware, lest he unleash the lead of his dark brotherhood to end your miserable existance."

Lacheis was introduced sometime in 2002 as part of the Storyline : What May Be (Or May Not Be) Going On. This focused on the split of the Council of Light as it was leaving Wehnimer's Landing and would open satellites in Solhaven and Ta'Vaalor.

He orchestrated various extortion schemes, intimidation, robbery, and most commonly, murder through enforcement of the Societies Oath or those who spoke against it.

He was most often portrayed by GM Khaladon, but not always, and made appearances as late as 2005 as the face of the Council of Light and representative of it's leadership as a dark messenger. He was officially the Grand Assassin of the Council.

Eyewitness descriptions(There are several known)

You see Lacheis Taurvon.
He appears to be a Human.
He appears to be senescent. He has hazel eyes and black skin. He has very long, black hair.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a well-balanced steel sabre in his right hand.
He is wearing some black linen trousers, a rugged leather harness, a jeweled sabre sheath, a dark grey travelling cloak, a wide-brimmed black felt hat, an unlaced pleated black silk shirt, and an iron-bound hide shield.

He also appeared as a Dark Elf so it could have been illusion work depending on his mood or he was just never properly identified as a Dark Elf or Dhe'nar.

He was often cited as the "Man in Black" type figure in various murders and news clippings. As time went he simply got more brazen. He was never brought to justice.

A NOTICE TO THE ORDER OF VOLN
Dateline: Day 1 of Phoenatos, 5102: Wehnimer's Landing

Hail brothers and sisters of the Order of Voln,

Repeatedly have I witnessed a human with a well-balanced steel sabre invoke fear into the merchants of Wehnimer's Landing for silver. This money is being paid to this human, this fiend with hazel eyes and black skin for "protection". He promises protection, true - from himself and his cronies. Only a man with no soul would threaten the lives of these honest citizens.
